Welcome to my site and thanks for stopping by! I'm a hobbyist photographer who specializes in landscape, city and outdoor photography - with a crazy obsession for all things Disney. I'm always looking for something unique to put in front of my lens and create art from. While I mostly do this for me, I have also worked on several special photography projects in the past. I'm always open to the right collaboration, so if that's what brings you here please use the Contact form.
See you real soon!
How did you get started with photography?
I have always enjoyed taking photos - ever since I was a little kid and got my first camera - a no frills Kodak 110 film camera. Over the years and after various point and shoot cameras, I finally got my first serious DSLR (a Canon 70D) in 2014. I started to learn more about exposure settings and composition shortly thereafter. This was also the year of my first trip to Walt Disney World in a while, and so the hobby just took off like wildfire from there.
What camera do you shoot with now?
In early 2021, I purchased a second-hand Sony a7Riv and that is my main camera now. I also have an a7Rii that I purchased in 2017 which now serves time lapse and other second-body duties. My lens collection is ever-evolving, too.
You're an adult, what's with the Disney obsession?
Well, that's easy - I only went once as a kid (in 1988!) and I'm making up for all that lost time! But more seriously, I enjoy the escape from reality that theme parks provide. The Disney parks in particular provide an awesome backdrop and/or subject for photography, so it just fits. My Disney photography inspiration dates back to the first time I saw Tom Bricker's photography - he does great work and I hope to even be half as good as him one day. Check out his site over at Disney Tourist Blog!
What's your favorite non-Disney photographic subject?
Well, if I have to narrow it down to one - so far that would be Ol' Barney - also known as Barnegat Lighthouse. I definitely prefer subjects that don't breathe - because I get nervous when photographing people, but do overcome those nerves on occasion. But yeah, I'm a big fan of a sweeping landscape with an interesting subject in it. So the lighthouse is a good one as it can be seen from a variety of angles which allows for a ton of different compositions.
